I used to have this issue a while ago and I got rid off it using a toothbrush or algae scraper.  Make sure to turn off equipment like filters and heaters to prevent obstructions and maybe even lower the water levels. As I got better at doing it I realized that it is better to start at the top and work my way down.

If possible, try removing decorations from the tank to scrub them under running water, minimizing the spread of algae. As far as live plants it might be best to trim the affected leaves.

When you are done cleaning, perform partial water changes to clear out any remaining debris. I hope this helps!

That’s a great tip, thanks for sharing! I hadn’t thought of turning off the equipment or lowering the water level to prevent obstructions, so I’ll definitely try that next time. Starting from the top makes sense too, especially to avoid spreading algae further down. I’ll also take your advice on cleaning the decorations separately and trimming affected plant leaves. The partial water change afterward sounds like a good final touch. I really appreciate the help!
