Julianne loves working with people and having a chance to connect in natural world. Throughout her career what she enjoys the most is facilitating a new understanding, respect, and amazement of wildlife and the environment.
Her educational background is from Miami University where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Zoology/Animal biology and Environmental Science, and a Master's Degree in Biology/Biological Sciences. Therefore, expertise and passion for the animal world has been part of her DNA for many years.
Some of her work experience includes Education and Guest Coordinator for the Lee Richardson Zoo, Assistant Education Curator for the Alexandria Zoological Park and most currently Interpretation Specialist for the Indianapolis Zoo. She is also CPR and First Aid certified by the American Red Cross and Certified Interpretive Guide by the National Association for Interpretation. Last but not least, she is also an proofreader and editor in Upwork where she helps AquariumSource create the best fish content possible!
