I just reread Airbnb’s original pitch deck on the Whitepage blog, and wow — it’s so simple. 10–12 slides, clean fonts, super clear. But I’m wondering: would that kind of deck still work in 2025? Or do investors expect way more now?

I used to have this issue a while ago and I got rid off it using a toothbrush or algae scraper. Make sure to turn off equipment like filters and heaters to prevent obstructions and maybe even lower the water levels. As I got better at doing it I realized that it is better to start at the top and work my way down.

If possible, try removing decorations from the tank to scrub them under running water, minimizing the spread of algae. As far as live plants it might be best to trim the affected leaves.

When you are done cleaning, perform partial water changes to clear out any remaining debris. I hope this helps!
